SPRING CLEANING CLOSET GADGETS

This weekend is going to be about spring cleaning, particularly the wardrobe closet. The only time I get the desire to clean, weed out the old, dust and scrub is when spring comes around (there was also "this one time at band camp" also known as the "nesting" urges in the third trimester of pregnancy).

Here's what I've started with. What I desperately want to do is to unify the hangers. My clothes have been hanging on plastic hangers and the wire ones you end up inheriting from the dry cleaners. I picked up the BAGIS hangers (set of 4 for only $1.25!). They are strong and super thin. Not only are my clothes hanging better, but I have gained at least a foot of closet space (this is definitely a dangerous thing), because everything is hanging compactly and neatly.

My next act of desperation is to organize my jewelry. The have been contained in a cookie tin for a few Christmas' now and it's time for an upgrade. This cute little mustard tower will do nicely.

I'm still on the fence about boxing all my shoes, because it's nice to see your wares, but to keep dust to a minimum on my suede shoes, I'm going to house them in these. Not a full dust-proof item, but anything will help and so does the peek-a-boo window when looking for a pair.

Well, this is enough to keep me busy. Whatever you're doing this long weekend (hopefully not cleaning, because cleaning sucks, but someone's gotta do it, but then again maybe you love cleaning then in that case, enjoy!) I hope you're having fun doing it.
